Yeah, don't draw a pic with bad anatomy and then move on to render your pic with bad anatomy. Do draw a pic (with bad anatomy) and try to figure out why the anatomy is bad, and how you could do it better next time. Even re-draw that same pic. Then move onto the next pic. No rendering, no polishing, no fancy linework, just trying to learn to lay the foundations correctly.
(of course you will probably want to do the same process with your line work, color, anything else you work on...)
