Murata is my favourite with ONEs composition and panel layouts as a guideline, though i hate how his faces are completely at odds with the bodies he draws. How some of the fights are practically animated are what i love most. Saitama vs genos sparring fight, saitama vs sonic in the forest with camera panning around saitama as sonic moves at super speed, iron man guy flying in the city and landing that was colored, etc.

I dislike that most of his backgrounds are nonexistant or clearly not drawn/sketchup or clip studio, but thats been something most fans ignore or hinestly believe mangaka draw for a long time.

I also dfind he overly relies on speedlines to cover up deficiencies or gets carried away when trying to convey motion. ONE layouts really help him, as his earlier work didnt impress me nearly as much and lacked in storytelling and conveying gesture and motion in the same way as his ONE work. Hes basically doing finishes and the guidance helped his work immensely.

Yusuke Murata, but his video recording setup is absolute dogshit. Sometimes he streams and links it to his twitter but he almost only ever draws and inks. Not a lot of footage of him coloring. He is fucking incredible though. Pic related.

Yusuke Murata has recently become a huge inspiration since I found out that he really only uses the same materials that I do. But it also kind of stings knowing that it isn't my lack of tools that is the problem, it's my lack of gitting gud

I highly encourage you to stick with pencil and paper for a while. Traditional drawing removes all the extra things you'd have to get used to when going digital, and only requires a pencil and paper to get through most of it.

Fastest way to get going.
