Anon, your argument would probably work on someone who is an absolute beginner, or someone who actually hasn't read the first book.
Well, this anon has gone through the first book, as well as watched his youtube videos and all of his rendering videos. Not only robertson, but Vilppu and his anatomy/gesture videos on youtube and elsewhere. I've learned great things from Steve Huston, Bill Perkins, Nathan Fowkes, Erik Olson, etc.

I've read through Alla Prima, How to Draw, Color and Light, Loomis, Hampton, etc

The reasoning behind the book is because:
I already have read and examined all of my resources, but there's one book in particular that keeps coming up and no one wants to do shit about it. Some people aren't as fortunate as some of the anons on this board, so stop going around, flaunting your book as if you're some special person and telling people to purchase something that some people can't even afford.

Even if you never scan it, don't come in here, insult everyone, then leave as if you did good to society. Because you didn't.

I don't care. Yes, I'm mad.

Where's a good place to learn how to start painting? Any recommended books or videos?
I can draw very well, but I can't paint for shit. I want to change that.

>How old are you?
18
>When and why did you start drawing?
I really don't know. My art teachers really saw the potential in me and helped me get into drawing. And, eventually, art school.
What do you do besides art?
During the summer I love to cycle around town and draw in the park. During the winter, I stay inside and exercise. Just trying to stay in shape, ya know.
>What is your goal?
I've always wanted to work at some VFX studio working as Visual development or Character design, or even storyboarding. But, I'd take an illustration job as well. It's really all up in the air at the moment.

A quick question:
Does anyone know if you get paid a constant salary while working at a studio? Or is it, like, "You'll get paid when we get a gig," sort of thing?
Is it more worth it to do commissions and sell personal works?
