Every time a week 1er dies, I like to do a postmortem ceremony. I place the first image they've ever done and the last image they submitted before elimination, side by side on my computer screen.

You guys have literally pinpointed fears that I've had ever since I entered college.

It just feels like, year after year, life just gets quieter, sadder and empty. People have less time for each other. There's little to no chance to engage in the same level of camaraderie that you once had in high school (and my experience is particularly skewed: I had so much of that as I went to a boarding school). Bi-monthly encounters are big events when we once talked to each other constantly a few years ago. And I'm just sitting around thinking, "Why is this normal? Is this why people want to get married, have a family? To avoid the overwhelming loneliness?"
