I think this looks very good and my critique is more stylistic but it seems strange how much you've painted him but have kept harsh black lines on some parts and then removed them on others, e.g. comparing the back of his head vs the front. I think removing the lines and then working on those harder edges from a purely painting standpoint would make your work better. Your rendering is good but inconsistent.
