Either way, it shouldn't be taken as a compliment when you're animations look like soulless rotoscope with almost no real stylized animation. That's like the people who take pride in drawing almost indistinguishable photorealistic drawings. Impressive for the first half second but instantly boring and forgettable content that will soon be easy to reproduce via AI.

What can /ic/ tell me about the whole concept of abstraction and letting the viewer fill the work of art with his imagination rather than explicitely telling everything with super detail?

I'm asking this in a more general sense beyond visual arts, and like videogames and animations.
