Is anyone working on an hourly basis in illustration/animation while also studying and building your personal work? How many hours per week do you draw, and how do you not drive yourself psychotic?
I’ve been running the numbers and it’s looking really bad for me. Just not enough hours in the day to do everything I want and need to do, while also making enough money to not wanna kill myself. In 24 hrs, I need 8hrs of sleep, 8hrs to work($15/hr), and just 8hrs to cram fitness, personal art, meals, learning a language, and just being a human being.
Things are going well only because I’m coasting along on money I saved from working retail, but holy shit do I feel like I’m so fucked. I probably need to be drawing at least 10hrs/day and I still might not accomplish everything I need to.
