Not really but i get your point.
Social media and the internet are part of the system now and in just less than a decade it further accelerated the corruption of things.
And it matters if your stuff is good or not.
Don't let that mindset control you. It's just an excuse to stay bad and point the finger without looking at the own reflection.
I mean, it's just easier to attract people with things that are easily digestible like:
>fanart
>nsfw
>plain anime girls
That's the current zeitgeist
If you want to change that, do art because it means something to you, convince others to follow you by doing art you care about.
And accept that you may never rise to relevance.
Art is not a realistic career.
As an artist, you are already dead. Communicate through your art with the living world.
