I feel like I worry way too much about my own art process, mostly in the way I construct bodies. Instead of doing more complex and interesting things as I improve, Iv'e been doing lots of very simple and boring work in an attempt to find more efficient ways of doing it.

I have it in my head that I need to find a method of construction that makes these simple and boring poses a trivial task- After all, if easy poses are time-consuming and difficult, then trying to do anything more complicated would be a huge pain in the ass. However, I'm starting to realize that the biggest reason my work is time-consuming and difficult is because I'm so concerned about constructing everything and obsessing over efficiency.

am I right to be so invested in making my step-by-step process as quick and easy as possible, or is the only true way to make things quick and easy to stop worrying so damn much?
