Best case of action is to just don't think about it.

With your art you attract an audience that liking what you do. The process is slow and you should start early. Explicit stuff might attract people faster but this is an audience that wants precisely that from you and creates an expectation of subject, later you might find that some of your tamer works might not have that much traction. Same goes for relatively quick scheme of drawing vidya related stuff...

...but from my experience a lot of people with money who commission stuff tend to request things far beyond from what you usually do. So it's getting murky from that point on.
