She openly says that she uses reference

I was watching her drawing this and she was using a reference for the back anatomy, and she said that years ago she used to think that using reference is "cheap! (she used that word), but that then she realized that it isn't because the only thing that matters is the result in the end.

I agree, the point of painting is to make nice paintings, anything that you can do to get there, you should do. If 3D or reference can help you, you should use it.
