try doing simpler less detailed drawings to practice gesture. if you want to do extra studying by throwing anatomy on top thats always fine but missing the point. the purpose of the simpler drawings is to stop looking at the details of a subject, but looking at the direction and flow of its pose instead. think of directional arrows and use large sweeping strokes to indicate the gesture of an entire limb and then break it down into the next largest pieces. seriously dont concern yourself over details while practicing this, its purely to add more life to how you approach a drawing.
