Look up some nice asses if you have no idea what they should look like.

Your only concern should be being able to match those asses. Use extra guidelines to define the dimensions better for yourself. If it still doesn't look good you are not paying enough attention to the finer details.
Use smaller brushes so you can be more precise on the details, the line weight isn't as important while you are studying shapes and anatomy accurately.
