hey anon, i would like to give you some advice.

First its not like im some face master, the more realistic faces i did, i can count them on a single hand desu. (my pic related)
What i usually do is stylized anime, which sometimes have two lines for nose.

Anyway what i learned was to go much lighter on shading, keeping it lighter makes you understand the form of what you are trying to make, and always keep reference or some sort of inspiration, no way i can draw a portrait without looking at some cutie.
And remember to flip canvas very often it saves tons of time.
