>Human Creativity
So Photography can't be copyrighted?

Personally I think copyright is counterproductive to society and AIshitters are a blemish on the Internet, but this judge is retarded.

You can't deny he has a reason to be bothered, though.
Even if we have amazing artists, most of them are obscured by the novelty bullshit.

The masters of old were seen as great during their lifetimes, when culture was smaller and you had to carefully pick what to talk about because your hand-written letters would take a month to travel by horse.

You'd expect in the modern age people would be all over these geniuses who can give life to a slab of rock, but all we get are dildos with a can opener and a bunch of menstrual blood on the floor.

Although I do share the cringing sensation of seeing this kind of post that pretends good artists don't exist, the comeback that "WELL YOU KNOW, THERE ARE MANY GOOD ARTISTS OUT THERE, SO STOP COMPLAINING!!" discourse is equally poor and at least the former is trying to promote appreciation for good art.

I grew up listening to all kinds of dad rock, while my colleagues only listened to our country's pop music.
When they found out stuff like Pink Floyd or what-have-you existed, they went into MUSIC PATRICIAN mode, talking about how Pink Floy was the epitome of music and yadda yadda yadda. It felt as naively pretentious as this guy's tweet, they moved one or two steps up on the ladder of not being a baboon, but still had a very superficial knowledge about music, Dunning Krueger if you will.

I'd still take the Dunning Kruegers over the slop consumers. Make an effort to keep pushing them up, they've already broken the superficial tension.

If your art is about owning the libs, I will not follow you.
If you schizopost about offtopic shit too often instead of posting art, I will not follow you.

If your art is nice and you just like to say controversial things here and there, I will follow you, no problem. I'm on 4chan, after all.

You will, however, get cancelled if you can't control yourself, so there's that.

Lastly, if your popularity comes from your controversial status more than from your artwork being decent, I will not follow you.

>possible
Yes.
>easy
No. Not even with coom, mind you.
Something's got to give. If you want to stay SFW, then find a way to be engaging. Be it fanart, doing something innovative with your art, putting 10x more effort into socializing/promoting yourself, having some sort of comic that pleases the audience...

Don't just draw an expect money to come your way, it's not a smart business model.
Of course that's a valid strategy, but only if you don't depend on art to survive. If you do, time to stop blaming the world for not recognizing your genius and to start making it believe you are such genius.

>sex is good, everyone should have it in public
Even if I agreed with you, sex and prostitution are different things, and coom artists are e-prostitudes.

I follow a few artists whose style vary in unpredictable ways, 80% of what they draw is not to my tastes, but I'm always happy when something exciting comes out, so I congratulate them or interact in some way.

If you're formulaic, I will follow you to see more, but I will never like/share your artwork because you are a product, not an artist to me.

So think twice before trend-hopping, kiddo, you might be losing the most tasteful fun you could ever dream of (me).

Age of consent is low in many Western countries that also only reproduce disgusting Marvel musclethots, so your line of thinking doesn't work.
It's really just about Marxism. Being original comes second to being pleasing to the eyes over there, cause they're more pragmatic and unpozzed.
Even Korea, feminist paradise, where you can't even look at a woman if she's under 50 years old, they follow a similar aesthetics of beauty to Japanese. Cause their societal/cultural cohesion and identity is still strong, despite Americanized.

Numbers are very shaky.

If you're constantly pandering, you'll need 10 times the amount of followers than if you have a small, but loyal fanbase who follow you because they enjoy your work.

I have 50 followers and manage to get commissions sometimes. My friend has 500 and didn't get any last time he advertised (same price and skill range, I'd say, but I think his has more mass appeal).

Most "creative" people I see around are just really good at stealing without making it obvious.

Creating something truly original is hard cause it involves knowing a lot about all subjects that show up in your picture.

That's not how it works.
I speak a standard language. If people maim it beyond recognition, THEY are labelled as dialect speakers, not me.

I've been on dA this entire time, but the new UI makes me lost and I don't want to relearn how to use it.

Guess I'll keep being literally who.
