I usually work with my hand hovering an inch above the page, but whenever I'm not making a stroke I try to put my hand down to give my shoulder some rest. I do this purely out of fear that I might damage my shoulder though. as sometimes I paint all day and never rest my hand on anything. It's just a stamina thing, anon. You'll get those art gains in a month, give it some time. Here's my artgains btw
