of course it's worth something, but you're still putting around 20% of the work in to the artists's 80%, while getting 80% of the credit if people like it. not to mention comics are one of the lowest paid types of art, and eat into time that could be used for paid work or porfolio to get work.

all that combined, draw muh 22+ page story please for free is a terrible investment for the artist with a brain. if an artist can't write and needs a script it's much better worth their time to adapt something public domain, like a jane austen novel
