Looks off perspective on the backside. I'm following Scott's How to draw lately so I've wondered the same myself. I've seen people sketch great mechs right of the bat so I believe yeah, you can, but not sure how much industrial design work do you need under your belt to pull that off. Pic is example of one of my attempts at applying what's explained on the book. Might be off, I had to eyeball some sections because they looked weird. Still trying to work through at the mo.

>>3664670 Fantastic. I guess you can always work it out more but I wish I could understand painting to such level. Such a long road ahead.

I like it, I feel the hands should be bigger, probably even extra big sized to go with the style.

>>3665228 Those colors are superb, the brushstrokes on the body aren't working for me, try something more controlled and softer? More feathery, if that makes sense.

Looks unbalanced they way you have her standing as of now. She's falling sideways or at least her right leg (left side) would be under overexertion.

Looks good as thumb but up close the brushtrokes aren't appealing, simpler shapes are cool but those squiggly lines kill the sense of what you are looking at, try more controlled hierarchy of large to small shapes to introduce detail, maybe shape some of the edges with hints of leaves.

Mouth looks off perspective wise/angling and the expression is hard to read, like the eyes/eyebrows give a sense of worry but the mouth I feel a faint smile? Not sure what are you going for.
