One issue i've noticed a lot of AI programs seem to have. Dall-e2, discodiffusion, midjourney, etc. Is that a lot of them seem to have what I call "the thumbnail dilemma".

What this is, is when an AI generated image looks amazing in thumbnail, godlike even. But when you actually click on it, it looks like complete garbage, just a mess of textures and a garbled mess. Now i'm not saying it has this problem 100% of the time, and I have no idea where it will go in the future, but as of right now this seems to be a very consistent problem, I've noticed, and if they can never fully crack the nut that is art, then AI will always fail. Of course you can always shrink an AI image down and use it as a thumbnail when painting, or to choose colors from, which can be a huge time saver, I suppose.

Pic related, is an example of the thumbnail dilemma, by the way. Looks great small, but when clicked on looks like a mess of textures.
