I think we are coming to an understanding here. As an artist that uses ai I do in fact want to be the idea guy director. To me the entire point of art is to tell a story. If you draw a nice image of a castle, sure it looks nice for a few seconds but thats it. But if that castle is yoru representation of Stormwind or Minas Tirith, then I'll spend my time looking at it, imaging everything that goes on there, where it fits in, i'll keep coming back to that image. For me personally, I have a few hours of free time every day and I am going to die soon, so ai is going to help me realistically create what I want to create and thats why I advocate for it. I don't think the arguments that ai is bad because technology negatively impacts people economically or even culturally are relevant. And some non ai artists dont like it "just because" and refuse to interrogate the reason why they feel that way.

As for ai art being allowed on /ic/, theres nothing in the rules that say it shouldnt be allowed. You'd have to prove that ai art isnt art at all or that there is no creativity involved. I don't see why I can't post ai art and get critique from other people which is the point of this board.
