You intentionally posted a low res photo of a weaker Jim Lee piece so people wouldn't scrutinize your post as much. If you had posted something like pic related then no one would have believed it was your work in the first place, they would have just asked why you were posting some pro's art.
The specific advice given out by this board on how to improve is shitty and contradictory, but one thing I CAN rely on this board for is honest feedback about whether a piece is good or not. Anyone can tell you whether a drawing is good or bad, even non-artists, although not everyone will be able to tell you how to fix it. The biggest barrier to getting unbiased feedback from people is that they don't want to hurt your feelings. That hangup doesn't exist on /ic/, and for that reason I'm glad that a forum like this exists.
