If you have $850ish, get yourself a cintiq 16 and an ergo arm or similar monitor arm mount. It’s a great device but holy fuck the neck and back pain. So if the whole point of this exercise is to get a more comfy drawing setup go all the way. If you have $650 + tax, you have another $150 to make it actually worthwhile. I’m of the mindset that if you’re drawing every day a few hours at a time, it’s worth the investment. I upgraded from an iPad so that’s the reference point I’m coming from.

Otherwise do what most other anons are saying, save yourself half a grand and get a nice screenless tablet and just be happy. And desu depending on what kind of art you make you might not even need a screen tablet, if you’re mostly a digital painter/sculptor you won’t gain as much from the extra precision and the feeling of contact as say, someone doing lots of lineart.
