Bros the lines don't overlap at all, why did the DB artist get so much flak from the public?

Tracing/photobashing is the future of art.

>copy 3d model/photo onto canvas
>create new layer and draw on top of it
>make a few changes accordingly
As long as the pixels don't line up, you can just claim it was "referenced" and no one can accuse you of tracing. This is a process that will speed up your art output by several magnitudes, as there are billions of photos available (boorus, pinterest, etc) and 3D modelers (designdoll, daz3r) you can easily find for free. As technology is becoming more prevalent, practices like this will become more acceptable. Do not listen to retarded crabs trying to make you waste 10 years of your life grinding only so you can end up like Proko.

Lmao too easy. Just copy your reference onto a layer, create a new layer, draw on top of it with some minor changes and make sure the pixels don't align, then it's not tracing.

Everyone should have a giant "reference" folder and 3d modeling programs to do this process with. No one can accuse you because there are slight differences when you overlay it so you have plausible deniability.

Photobashing, 3D model/photo tracing, and layer referencing are tools just like a ruler. Why does /ic/ have such a hateboner over how art is being made?

Is it genuinely just jealous crabs trying to bring other people down? As long as the product is good and no one gets hurt, what difference does it make? If you don't adapt to these modern tools you'll fall behind other people who do.

Why do some clowns on here still think that professionals don't trace? If you are even remotely good at art, then you trace.

There are countless successful Mangaka out there that are making MILLIONS that trace. The only ones you think who don't trace, are the ones who didn't get caught.

A real artist is creative and can use their imagination...to help them figure out new ways to hack the system without getting found out. The best artists in the world found a strategy that no one had cracked yet.
