imo you shouldn't do this.
Manga is traditionally made with a physical dip pen on a physical paper of a specific size.
This means that no matter the manga, assuming their using the same tools, which they probably are, will always have a specific minimum and maximum size to their lines.
If you draw a character up close, the lines of his face should be of a certain thickness.
When you draw that same character but at a distance, should you get a thinner pen and draw the lines even thinner? (or in this case, draw the image large and then shrink it). No, you should use the same pen and just draw it but with less detail
