I used a Note 4 with Sketchbook pro for that one and an iPad pro with Procreate for pic related, used the pencil brush in the former and the mechanical pencil setting in the latter, you have to be patient building up values with just hatching takes time, practicing with a true mechanical pencil or a Bic can give you the sensitivity to better evaluate your lines in the digital medium
