Find a character and draw that character.
If you made a flat drawing, learn construction.
If the arms are too thin, learn anatomy.
If the shading doesn't look right, learn lighting.
If the eyes are plain, learn imitation.
If the lines have bumps, learn speed.

Accept what you are given, if you draw big heads and small bodies by default then you are fubar.
Also longer legs, wider shoulders then pray that your sense of right sees the normal body as correct.
