I wasn't going for monkey king, but now you mentioned it , it does fit where she is in the story, so I will probably add that to her motif in the future. I might even give her real name as Wang Mei Hou , which would be a good pun for that motif.

"尼姑" are nuns. From my experience they are not often known to practice martial arts except for the special ninja temptress nuns from the certain sengoku mangas.

Using "monk" as her name have more to do with the fact that she is suppose to be a master pugilist.
