>sorry your compositions suck.
I didn't take the photo m8. The photographer likely is standing against a wall taking this shot. They'd have to change lenses and it'd ultimately only make the subject of the photo smaller in the frame.
>she wasn't cut off at the knee though or the ankle its cut at the middle of the thigh
like I said, cutting off at the joints is bad composition
By what standard are you saying that though? In photography and filmmaking it fucking isn't. It's weird to wide out to include a fucking knee for no reason.

The photograph was clearly taken with the focus being on where the HEAD is in the frame. NOT where the fucking ankles are.

And what you said >>3580785 is partially accurate in all fields. You generally never will see someone with half of their knee in frame. If you're doing a MWS like the OP image, you cut off at the thigh meat. If they wanted to wide out the expectation would be to either include full knees and cut out ankles and feet, or at that point they'd probably just be doing a full wide and getting everything.
>like I said, cutting off at the joints is bad composition.
The thigh isn't a joint. Neither is the forearm. Composition is also about functionality and aesthetics and intent and stuff. Like sure for a drawing exercise it's not great composition or whatever, but as a photograph it's fine. Her hands are blocked by the wall anyway and the focus of the picture is her head and torso and lewd armpits and mischief face, not her fucking feet.

Including everything in the frame just cuz isn't just inherently "good composition." Whoever told you that wanted you to fail.
