Learn proper head construction and then be more disciplined and conscious about drawing what you actually see filling in the features. Many beginners do what you've done here, where facial features are kind of smeared and skewed over on the face to be more front oriented. This is because your unconscious brain is taking control a bit and you are symbol drawing to a degree. Pic is your brain's idea of lips, so your impulse is to draw more like that.
