It's more of a sports manga than a battle manga. The only competitor I came across is The King's Avatar, and Accel World, neither of which I found to be very good desu.

Then you have all the Fighting Game manga like the Diago Umehara manga, and this cutesy other one called One hit Girl or something (I forget), none of them really hit the same notes we do, and we've seen a lot of thirst in the west for this kinda concept.

I won't go into detail yet, as I'm not ready, but don't worry, I'll post a link to the pilot here when it's up on Medibang. I guess the only thing I could say is that we wanna do for Fighters, the same thing Slam Dunk did for Basketball. Which is why many of the previous characters I've posted here felt very derrivative, cause they're meant to be homages. They're the characters in the game roster, not the real life characters.
