Question for all you artists here.. Have any of you went to college or certain art programs in order to learn anything that helped overall? I've always had an interest in drawing since around my middle school years, so about 11-13 years ago. I would draw in time frames and then sort of just doodle in between for months. I would end up trying to copy my favorite anime/manga scenes or at least the characters, but not in a tracing matter, more of looking at the source material and back to my notebook trying to copy it as best as I could for the time.

I already know I lack skills in perspective, coloring/shading/lighting and working more on anatomy. I'm sure there's a bit more I'm lacking too but what I'm trying to ask is if it's worth checking into some college courses or programs.. or if I'd be better off making use of certain books and online videos that'd teach me what I'd need to know instead?

I sadly don't have any real drawings to show off for feedback and a point of view of where I stand currently. Here's the most recent drawing I'm working on (haven't fully went through and touched up the colors yet or get into the shading/lighting of course.)
