I have a wife. The key is to be on the same page. Let her know your goals. Take time for yourself, and make clear that you need space for your art. Don't budge. She'll respect you more for it.

It does help to have a gf/wife at least tangentially interested in art, otherwise it's gonna be a slog. It's best if she's an introvert, that way she can chill while you grind.

Some here will say gf means ngmi, but it comes down to having the right kind of relationship. My dedication to my art has only increased because I'm in a supportive relationship.
