When I said patchy I meant like hte silhouettes are sloppy due to lots of little transparent overlapping strokes. You would do well to paint mroe opaquely and simplify the contours more. I did a quick paintover....the asian chick you can see I traced the outline of the hair on yours and my paintover then pulled it off to the side and increased the size so you can see. Yours has lots of little bumps and stuff and this is interfering with the read of the thing and makes it feel less finished since it has a sketchy appearance.

On the dude I just googled like "black bodybuilder" or something and found some black guy with a thick neck. Using that I was able to kinda bring a bit more realism in the structure of him. I tried to keep it all very simple too. Hopefully this helps and clarifies things. Things are still a little patch yon mine, but that's partially due to working at such a small resolution here.

In concept art you want the product to read clearly and look as finished as you can with as little work as you can. So keep your contours simple and clean. And push those values more too or else it looks unfinished/lacks solidity. At least in my opinion.
