You must unlearn what you have learned.

All the concepts and your "sight" and artistic intuition still stay with you, all you're doing is learning good habits and improving your ability to draw. Starting at 0 is the best way to grasp all those fundies all over again, and reinforce what you already know.
At the end of the day, it's another way of drawing that you have in your tool-set, and that's not a bad thing.
