the contrast could be better. i recommend just loading the pic in image editor and do color/filter > levels and then adjusting the curves until the image pop outs more. Alternatively add omega dark background

You need gesture training then. Nicolaides - Natural way to draw or Eviston: The Art and Science of Drawing. Nicolaides is more intuitive grindy approach, Eviston is maximum autism construction approach. Pick your poison i mean book

the part where his butt ends and tail starts there is no indication that the tail is connected there, there are even hints of shadow implying the tail isnt connected. I suggest putting some black>white gradient there so it is visually connected. And add shadows to the ground>paws so he isnt floating. Otherwise its very cool pic
