well the main reason you need to practice individual lines is so when you go into painting you don't scribble also because it ruins brushes and it looks terrible. which is why most of my paintings suck. because i don't practice the individual parts enough which is why

should do what I did when I was starting out and for a few months do nothing but fill sketchbooks with individual lines and dots. Because it trains you to not think it's such a pain in the ass. Once you've done hours and hours of dots and lines it really doesn't feel so stressful. I should really get back to doing that because I'm starting to regress from where I was a year ago patience-wise.
