Is there a more basic book about colour I should grind before Colour and Light? It seems a bit too advanced for me.

What's the best way to study this book? Do you copy the illustrations?

What are some art books that you look at so much that you own a physical copy of them and don't just use the pdf?

You don’t need to just use black and white using colors to shade is much better. Read pic related nigger.

Why people shill that thing so much? It's just a book with pretty pictures and definitions.

Is this a good book for digital painting?
Specifically I'd like something that talks about color theory, light etc in a digital context, not a comprehensive tutorial on how to use photoshop.

Imaginative realism, as defined by Gurney, is realistic depiction of imaginary things. It's just that he prefers a very painterly look, but he does photorealistic things on occasion. The cover painting for Color and Light is as photorealistic as it gets.
