and this one is serious because it was kind of the big finale of year one. Was also being painted when my epileptic dog had a seizure and died on the way to the hospital. I partially feel responsible because I was listening to American Dream by LCD Soundsystem, which had been playing one of the other times he had a seizure and idk if like crescendoing synth shit is an epileptic trigger for dogs or something.

yeah I've thought about that. Or like when it comes to selling prints, I can digitally paint on top of scans and spearmint with adding glitch effects and other digital editing memes. Like pict related is one of the fappening leaks, and I've always pictured doing some kind of glitch corruption effect going up from the subject out of the frame. Like showering up into the intranettes or whatever.

I've also painted on pictures of paintings in photoshop a few times to try out what different things would look like so I don't just try them on the canvas and get fucked. But that feels like cheating to me. It's a violation of muh wabi sabi bruh principles.

I LIKE this. There are a bunch of paintings that I'm planning on just continuously stacking layers and building into chaos over the next 6 years. I forgot who it was but there was an artist exhibited at the Van Gogh museum whose painting was like 2 inches deep from all the paint that had been stacked onto the canvas.

also I'm pretty gay in a good way for how that year one sequence ended with pic related, tayface, and hindsight benefit. I think how it worked out that the big finale "american dream" plays when I add blues to the jlaw fappening painting happens is kino as fuck. Makes me so smitten.

Fun fact: The pic related was painted on the day my dog Bronson died. And the song "American Dream" by LCD Sound System that is playing in the timelapse may have been what caused his fatal seizure!

I don't care if you think it's beginner-tier. It's an intentionally trashy acrylic aesthetic. I've definitely done some paintings that are getting into "intermediate" tier but you likely don't really give a shit and wouldn't be able to tell anyway.

That's what makes using a more technical type of activity better when you're on drugas. If you're just freehand drawing on pots I notice it's super easy to get lazer focused on whatever small part I'm working on and then when I zoom out I notice how goofy it looks. But if you're practicing at replication and other more "left brain" types of behavior it can be interesting idk.
