I think a BG color closer to this might suit it better. I think a warm color will make the scene feel more "heated" and suit the lighting's warm tone better.
Adjust it however, of course, but I hope I make sense? It also just lets the lighter blues of his clothes pop out more.

I think you could define their glow a tad more by adding a slight glow to perhaps the bridge of his nose, top of his cheeks, and his hair? But subtly, since we can already see the eyes are bright, so it doesn't have too be too strong a light source.
