YEAH this is the answer actually - I go to work from 2pm to 10pm, go to sleep as soon as i get home between 10 & 11.

i wake up around 7am-8am, putt around my house eating breakfast/showering, then i draw and chill before work. working 2nd shift has completely changed my productivity, so I'm not on an endless cycle of work and sleep.

If you only ever draw from life and never from imagination, you won't ever learn to apply what you've been copying all that time. Most humans simply don't learn effectively that way. Don't fall into that (on /ic/ way too common) trap, seriously.

Oh, no. Learning the absolute basics of perspective and anatomy in order to make pretty graphite scratchings to sell to people is way harder than studying the mechanics behind our universe.

Are you serious?

I studied both graphic design and engineering, and I can tell you that both disciplines require rote learning and a creative mind to apply that learning. But understanding calculus, statistics and complex numbers takes a bit more effort than learning where to draw the nose so it doesn't look wierd.

I think its a little cruel and misleading to tell the kids here that they can make that amount of money, I believe it is about time that someone calls of this tehmeh guy and the the other hack this noah Bradley cunt, listen up, art is a wonderful thing but get real, theres no way you'd be making that amount of money sitting in your ass drawing pictures on a tablet.
