I know how to do it. But you have to know alot of perspective and forms to get the shading in the right places. Then you have to learn about what kind of edges shadows will make, like for example how a cylinder will have a core shadow line that is perfect and unbending, no matter where or how you tilt the form in space. The other thing after knowing where the shadows go is that you need to know the the correct values. That part is a bitch, right now im only good on painting white/ light objects. Pic related is one of my studies from ctrl paint. I apply the same logic to my fully rendered stuff.
