Seems like the problem here is anon stopped constructing

You seem to be focused on the silhouette of shapes moreso than the form. This is the difference between drawing a circle and a sphere, or a square and a cube. Try this exercise - rather than trying to capture the shape of the body, instead think of the torso as two forms connected by a spine. Take that pose you were trying to capture and replace it with boxes. I tried it here myself but I can only really guess at the orientation of the boxes without the original pose, try to do this with that figure you’re trying to draw as well as any other references you might find. Also, try to go over the basic forms of the body again, especially the torso - i.e. the ribcage is an egg and the pelvis is a cylinder with a bit cut out (note that different artists have different ways to simplify the body, this is not a hard-set rule). Once you have the basic actual forms of the body down, try that box exercise again but with the aforementioned forms. Hope this helps.
