Probably not actually the case. Probably you’ve just dramatically improved your eye, so you notice more minor imperfections that you were previously blind to. Your cubes and stuff look fine. I bet if you actually compared these to your first attempts, you’ll be amazed at your progress. They’re only building blocks and raw material anyway. You’ve got them down well enough to construct drawings out of.

I’d say to do 5 minute gestures. That or just don’t bother with the timer while you’re still trying to understand wtf gesture and quick sketch even is. Worry about the timer later.

That said, I’ve seen worse (and drawn worse) especially for just 20 seconds. GMI.

Her lower half feels flattened to me, and the foot needs work. It matches the ref, but sometimes it’s better to draw what you wish was there than what you actually see. Her upper half is excellent, though. I think the way you did her hair is especially cool, too.
