I agree too. I believe making inktober traditional only was actually suppose to help artists because being unable to "undo/ctrlz" while they ink would make them think more critically about how they apply their pen strokes.

I remember when there was a inktober hashtag for the anime fandom I follow on twitter and all the japanese artists did strictly traditional only.

They literally sell felt tip pens and sketchbooks at dollar tree for ONE dollar each. I've tried the sketchbook and felt pens and the quality wasn't bad at all. Dollar tree is a underrated place for art supplies. My local DT sells canvases and crafting supplies too.

I've seen plenty of well made inktober pieces that were just done with cheap disposable ballpoint ink pens too. The real "elitist" part would be that it would be hard to take a good picture of your drawing if you can't afford a good camera or flatbed scanner.

A shitty camera can make the most well made inktober drawing look like absolute shit.
