How do you deal with the knowledge that you'll never be able to enjoy your art the way you enjoy art made by others? I'm at a loss trying to identify what I even get out of drawing in the first place, all it ever does is make me hate myself

fucking this. Even if you learned how to draw exactly like your favorite artist, you still wouldn't like your work as much as theirs just by virtue of the fact that you had to make it yourself and know exactly where all the bad parts are.

What the hell is the point of learning how to draw if simply looking at other peoples' work will always be more enjoyable, no matter how hard you work? It's like self-inflicted torture
