I'm looking for advice

I started drawing a specific genre two years ago, I enjoy it a lot and have roughly 700 watchers from it even though I don't post often

My friend decided to also draw this genre after seeing how much money I was getting from it and within a year he had surpassed me in watchers even though he uploaded even less and just saw it as a means for money, He's now abandoned it to move on to his next trend but it's ruined my motivation and happiness just being so easily surpassed and thrown aside, now I get upset over how little attention my art gets compared to others and it has ruined me
