Hello /ic/. I'm making a short
animation with my friend for our literature class which was originally to be a children's story in text form. I thought it would be interesting to see it as an opportunity to practice animation and story for my future career.

It's due Tuesday so we don't have much time but we've got the main story outlined and basically are having difficulty on decided which would be simpler and more effective as an animation under 5 minutes or so. I decided to use a kind of stick figure animation for ease of production considering the time restraints, but I'm not sure how to employ that. If anyone has any examples on that sort of style, please let me know.

Anyway, we're choosing between a few possibilities, I'll list them here:

> Girl protagonist lives in a desert village with a tree smack dab in the center, It is the only verdant life and symbolizes hope. The girl is very young and has an older brother who is extremely sick with a disease that the rest of the town has, (perhaps after they mature to represent the jading of adulthood?) EXCEPT for the village elder. The girl goes to the elder and asks him how to cure his brother, he tells her to climb the tree. This tree reaches to the clouds, and on those clouds bushes grow with berries on them that act as a cure and make the consumer immune to the disease. None of the other villagers, being adults and having very cynical mind from being afflicted by the plague, actually believe she can do it when they overhear her talking to the elder. (The plague represents the loss of hope for the future and the maturation of the mind to become accustomed to bad situations, by the way.) Cont. In the next post, sorry pic not related I'm on my phone.

If that's the case you can not be helped. Now be gone, away with you scourge of Deviant Art.
