/ic/ has always been pretty "ruined" tbphwyf. Too many edgy malignant assholes that hide behind anonymity and use it to race to the bottom excuse to feel better about themselves.

But yeah my egg spearmint about autoresponding to every antagonistic (you) or ad hominem attack assumes that things would go a few different ways. By "punishing" the trolls with unironic responses and banter that "derails the thread" it'll either eventually condition the crabs to be less belligerent faggots or it'll just burn everything down for better people to rebuild later. Or it'll just be goofball chaos that saturates the board with silly memes and essays about entropy and existence and stuff.
