This is purely conjecture on my part, given the time frame and stylistic tendencies present in the magazines artists are published in. I personally think that artist tent to abstract features from colleagues working in the same magazines or with similar editorial, i dont want to point fingers shouting plagiarism here and there, something crabs tend to do without realizing that the main driver of styles is the editorial of the magazines in question, one example is the similarities in COMIC Anthurium, COMIC Koh later COMIC AOHA (RIP) and others with vanilla jk themes, example such as:
