Something similar.
10-15k pixels on bigger side.
My main brush is textured so if I scale it below its default size it starts to feel like absolute shit. But with big enough canvas everything is nice and smooth.

I stole a pack of brushes long ago. It had a bunch of really versatile ones so I've been using only them with some small adjustments to settings without bothering to make my own. Should steal some new ones because I'm getting bored of what I have and my new tablet offers better pressure controls and has tilt support so I can try some shit that was useless to me before.
